Alluring Sights & Vegas Lights
This
was a trip of a lifetime! The IGLTA FAM/Symposium invited our Owner, Ahna, to go
see all that Vegas has to offer from April 4, 2010 to April 7, 2010. She stayed
at the lavish Encore Hotel and Casino
and that was just the beginning! She did site inspections at the
Palms Hotel, Tropicana Hotel, Trump
Hotel, The Wynn, The Monte Carlo, The Golden
Nugget, Planet
Hollywood, Aria,
The Bellagio and much more. She boasted about the Vegas sign (not to
mention, she won an official light bulb off the sign to take home). She also
experienced Freemont St.,
(where the newly renovated Golden Nugget,
has resided since 1946) and she viewed an enormous overhead screen with a light show at night that
changes to music for everyone to enjoy. She was blown away by the Vegas show
playing at The Wynn called
Le
Rêve, and she had an amazing lunch at
The Bellagio which was in a
magnificent dining room that had a breathtaking view of the water show right
outside. Also, her visit to The Red Rock Hotel and Casino had her in total amazement. This child
friendly spot includes a bowling alley, a movie theatre, and (surprisingly
enough) a daycare facility so parents can go experience more mature destinations
freely. There isn't enough time in the world to tell her whole tale of Vegas’
attractions...is there a more fascinating place to visit? She's not so sure...
Medieval Madness Dinner Show
What
a fun trip back in time! Old Dominion Tours and Virginia Destinations, Inc. sent
two of our employees (Jessica & Alicia) to see the Medieval Madness Dinner Show
in Alexandria, VA
over this past weekend, Saturday June 5, 2010. We experienced a wonderful show
while eating delectable cuisine in a time where so many things were delightfully
different. The wenches sang to us, the jester humored us, and the Duke and
Duchess entertained us with hilarious gossip and serious issues that were very
real in their society. Even the audience was
indeed very much a part of this show.
To top it off, we experienced a real sword fight, and we participated in judging
the winner. This is truly a gateway into a noble and honest time in history. A
special thanks to the Crystal City Marriott, for the lovely accommodations, Tom
Booth (the Duke), Karla (his beautiful Duchess), Benjamin Corey Feinblum (the
Jester), and all the cast for the "madness" we enjoyed so much.
